The first afternoon, from Kelor to the Kalong sunset

The Komodo 2 days 1 night private phinisi charter begins in the morning, when a car collects your party from your hotel or the airport. A welcome drink is poured on board before the boat sails.

The order of the day: by late morning you are ashore on Kelor for a trek. Lunch is laid when you are back aboard, then a snorkel at Manjarite and a snack. The sunset is at Kalong. Dinner is served after, and the evening is yours.

That is three stops and a sunset in one afternoon, and the captain decides their order on the day.

A note on the night: where the boat spends it depends on the weather and on the captain's decision that day.

These times are for planning. The pickup hour is the only fixed one.

Day two begins on the Padar path

Day two starts with the Padar trek, before breakfast. Breakfast is served after the walk, and then Pink Beach, also called Long Beach, for a snorkel.

The Komodo trek is next, and lunch follows. Then you return to Labuan Bajo the same day, and a car takes your party to the hotel or the airport. The hour depends on the sea and on how long the walks take.

Shoes with a grip suit the Padar path, and the bring list names sandals or trekking shoes, a backpack, sunblock and sunglasses. The Komodo ticket must be bought in advance, in your own name.

What two days leave out

Two days leave out Taka Makassar, Manta Point and Siaba. They belong to the 3D2N, along with a third morning on the water. The 4D3N adds Rangko Cave, Burung Island, Kanawa and Strawberry Rock besides.

If Manta Point is the reason you are coming, choose a longer route. The map and the legs table show the stops this length does reach: Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong on day one, then Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo on day two.

This length is always a whole-boat charter, since the open trip runs on the 3D2N. If two days suit you but the price of the boat does not, the 3D2N open trip is the nearest alternative.

Worked through: six guests pay IDR 8,500,000 (≈ USD 521) each. Ten guests pay IDR 5,100,000 (≈ USD 313). Fourteen pay IDR 51,000,000 (≈ USD 3,129) + 4 × IDR 1,500,000 (≈ USD 92) = IDR 57,000,000 (≈ USD 3,497), which is IDR 4,070,000 (≈ USD 250) each. Who should choose a second night

Pick a second night if you want Manta Point, or if you would rather not hurry through Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo in a single morning and afternoon. The lists below show what the 2D1N fare covers and what it leaves outside.

Pick the 2D1N if your party has a fixed weekend, or if the children are young and a third day is too much. Arrive in Labuan Bajo a day early, because the pickup is on the morning of day one. Talk to us before you book a flight for the evening of day two, since the return hour follows the sea.

Whichever length you take, the fare carries the chef and boat crew, three meals a day on trip days, the tender and snorkelling equipment.
